You've probably played through Oracle of Ages very well only to reach an impass at a certain minigame om Rolling Ridge: The Goron Dance.

Since I first got this game, I've been struggling with that part of the game every time it came up.

Never fear! I've created a guide to help you win this somewhat annoying minigame.

Section I. How to Play

The first thing you might want to know is how to play this game? Well, it's very simple. You use the B button also known as Doo and the A button also known as Da. The Goron Dance Master, (which is the Graceful Goron in the past), will dance a set pattern. The goal is to imitate him. That's all there is to it.

Section II. Dance Master Complaints

This is the section for all the complaints the Dance Master will give to you. Listen carefully, as these will inprove your dancing skills.

"Too Late! You're off tempo!": Also known as "too slow". This simply means you need to pick up the pace with your button pressing. If he says this, go a little faster.

"That was too early!": You pressed a button before the chime/buzzer/whistle or you missed a pause. If he says this, you need to wait in between dance segments or wait for the opening sound.

"Wrong Move": Pretty obvious. You pressed the wrong button or you missed a pause. If he says this, try copying his pattern a little slower unless you got "Too Late! You're off tempo!".

Section III: Pauses

You prpbably heard me saying pauses. That's because the Dance Master will, infact, pause. A good indication on when he's pausing is if he turns and faces you for a split second. You must also pause at that time. Pauses can range from 1 second to 5 seconds. During Platinum, there are a lot more pauses.

Section IV: Patterns

Here are some of the patterns I have come across while playing the different dance modes. For the Mermaid Key or Brother's Emblem, the Dance Master may use any of these patterns, though I've never seen him use a Platinum pattern before.

Platinum (past):

Doo Doo Doo Da (pause for two seconds), Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Da Da

Doo Doo Doo Da (pause Doo  Da

Doo Da Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Do (pause) Doo Da Da

Do (pause) Do Do (pause) Do Do Da

Do Da (pause) Do Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Da Doo Da Da (no pause in this one)

Silver (past):

Doo (pause) Doo Da

Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Da Doo Da Doo Doo Da (no pauses in this one)

Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo Da (no pauses in this one)

Doo Doo Doo Da Doo Doo Da (no pauses)

Doo Doo Da Doo Da Doo (no pauses)

Gold (past):

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da Doo Doo Da

Doo Da Doo (pause) Doo Da Doo Da

Doo (pause) Doo Da (pause) Doo Da Doo Da

Doo Da Doo (pause) Doo Da Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Da Doo

Doo Doo Doo Da Da

Doo Doo (pause) Doo Da Doo

Bronze (present):

Doo (pause) Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Da

(Slowly) Do Do Da

(Slowly) Do Da

Doo Doo Da Doo Da

Doo Da Da

Doo Da (pause) Doo Da

Doo Da Doo Da Doo Doo Da

Silver (Present):

Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Da Doo

Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo Da Doo Doo Da

Doo Da Da Doo Da

Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Da Doo Da Doo Doo Da

Gold (present):

Doo Da (pause) Doo Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Da Do Doo Da Do Da

Doo (pause) Doo Da (pause) Doo Da Doo Da

Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Da Da

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Da Doo

Doo Doo Doo Da (pause) Doo Doo Da

Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Doo (pause) Doo Doo Doo Da Doo Doo Da

Whew, that was long! Oh, and he'll occasionally mix in patterns from
a lower difficulty.

Section V: Closing and Tips

If you are still having trouble, make sure to heed all pf the complaints, and repeat the pattern to yourself. Also, a little practice goes a long way.

I'll probably update this with more tips and/or patterns.
