1  Oracles Hacking / Opinions and Experiments / A Title Screen Editor on: July 09, 2010, 06:58:31 AM
Well, for people that are making serious Hacks, they would really need a tool that can edit the Title Screen. I think it should be drawn by pixel and changing the palettes would be good, too. Smiley

I really like that idea. I hope to play it in the future Cheesy

Wow, thanks.

So, I've been working on a Hack that is actually supposed to be part of the Oracles story (sort of like Pokemon Yellow compared to Red and Blue). It is a Ages Hack, naturally, and the Character that takes Nayru's place is Farore, Oracle of Balance. You probably heard of Farore from OoT after the first dungeon. I have a few maps done, but I don't know how to show them on this site.

Story:
Your washed up on a island which is the Tookay Island (sort of like Link's Awakening)
and Farore finds you there. Then you wake up in a House on the Island. There's a bit
of talking about the Island. It is actually impossible to get off the Island (The Island is
surrounded by concrete), but Farore finds a way out, but the first dungeon is on the
Island and you have to get the main item in the dungeon to be able to escape. When you
escape, you get warped to the future when you make it out and the future is in Horrible
shape (that's where the name Oracle Of Balance comes in).

That's all I've thought up so far. I would actually like to see if anyone could make a
side-tool on ZOLE where you can make your own cut-scenes. Not in Hex, but you write
it up with commands.

Thanks. Smiley
4  General GameBoy Hacking / General GameBoy Talk / What's your favorite GameBoy game? on: July 03, 2010, 11:11:37 AM
Everyone should have a favorite GameBoy game.
Mine's Warioland 3, what's yours?

I had a problem with this tool. It work, but when I exited the screen and went back, the chest duplicated above the original chest and I could re-open the chest. I'd show you a image but I don't have any of it.

Actually, don't worry. I fixed it so now it works.  Smiley

It wouldn't be much of a problem if I've played it before, but when I have free time I'll see what I can do... It'd be a long time though lol.

Cool, thanks. I'm really looking forward to it. Smiley
8  General GameBoy Hacking / General GameBoy Talk / Tool request: Warioland 3 level and overworld editor on: July 02, 2010, 09:16:41 AM
Really, I would do it myself, but I have NO idea how to make tools. Warioland 3 is in my top 3 favorite gameboy games and I'd love to hack it. Smiley
I also wouldn't mind a editor for what are in the chest's. Smiley
If I'm asking too much, sorry. Sad
9  Oracles Hacking / Projects / Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Hole in Time on: July 02, 2010, 09:06:52 AM
Nah, you start off in a the top house and you get the sword in the chest next to it, and you're on your way. There's a patch to kill the need to meet Impa and stuff.

Wow, really? I'd like to know where you could get this patch, because I'm working on my own hack, and it's very unique because it has Farore in it (on of the 3 spiritual guardians of the world. As seen in Ocarina of Time), so I want to make the story act out different compared to Ages.

That map looks awesome, but I was wondering, how are you going to make the start act? Will you still have to meet Impa? How will you meet her, though? It's a little confusing considering you can't really change the events in-game.

Protecting your computer from viruses? I don't see why that happens, unless it has to do with the ULMB hosting I've heard about, but that should be over once I pay for the hosting (Should be as soon as tomorrow if everything goes as planned). I don't like uploading minor things to RHDN, so here's a mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?lmy3jylmymd

Um, that was actually for the Text Editor. For whatever reason, all the other tools download properly except for the Chest Editor.  Huh?

This looks like a awesome program, but I can't seem to download it because my internet is protecting the computer from Viruses. Do you think you could upload it to Romhacking.net?
