Title: Switch Blocks? Post by: pikaguy900 on July 01, 2010, 09:45:29 PM How can I make the Switch Blocks (those seen in dungeons such as Level 5 and Level 8 ) actually work when I trigger the crystal switch for them? I checked all of the maps containing those blocks in Level 8, and there were no map scripts running at all... So I'm curious as to how to get them to work in another dungeon. Any suggestions? (I really hope this isn't another one of those coded-to-only-work-on-certain-dungeons things...)

Not the Switch Hook blocks, the Red/Blue ones that raise/lower when you hit that red/blue switch. Said switch is commonly called a "Crystal Switch" when referring to A Link to the Past, so I figured it'd be best to call it that here, too...Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Post by: Fatories on July 02, 2010, 12:02:48 AM Apparently it doesn't work
Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Post by: Jigglysaint on July 02, 2010, 01:03:30 AM That's actually true that the crystal switches don't work in areas other than 5, 8, and the Hero's Cave. BRB, take me 5 seconds to find the data.
Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Post by: Lin on July 02, 2010, 03:31:04 AM Alright, found a flag that controls which dungeons they should work in and there's a new patch in the next release of ZOLE that allows them to be used in any dungeon.
Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Post by: Jigglysaint on July 02, 2010, 03:47:18 PM Hold on, if it's the flag I showed you, didn't I say that it controls alot of other flags?
Title: Re: Switch Blocks? Post by: Lin on July 02, 2010, 10:02:35 PM No, it's one that's only for crystals and by default is 20 at 0x3657. I found it while debugging yesterday.
