16  Oracles Hacking / Help / text changing on: August 06, 2010, 05:11:41 PM
I have two questions.

1. Can you change the name of the dungeons? If so how? And can you make, for example, the first dungeon to have 2 floors and the 2d dungeon to only have 1 ( to take one floor for level 2 and put it in level 1) so that the dungeon minimap is also accurate regarding the floors.

2. How can I make a sign tell something else than "Eternal Spirit It speaks across time to the heart!" ( I have changed the text but I mean , how do I make two signs say different things?

well no worries on the triple post part Tongue the forum is kind of empty these days so at least I think it's nice to be reminded that some1 still has some ongoing projects.

About the screens.

1. the water looks a little wierd, I asume you want it to look like possibly a dry river or something like that but there's just something of with the 1 water tile being alone like that, dunno what just bugs me a little Tongue I myself am working on a little project and I know its hard to get that "zelda oracle games" feel, especially on outside world maps. But studie maps that look like the one youre making and Im sure theres a way to make it better Smiley

2. just that the house's roof looks a little odd Tongue I think it looks OK but just reminding you that others might feel so easy about the otherwise smallhouse roof on a big house.

3. buttomleft tile isnt right..

Sorry if Im a little bit harsh, I know its hard, I do it myself Tongue

yes you take a room with a warp and move it to the room you like, just a tip, dont loose track of all the warps if you modify a room that has a warp but you dont want the warp to be there. Dont just move it to some random room, or the result will be that later you might need a warp and it will take ages to find it since you have to search all the rooms to find a proper warp.

What I usaually do is modify an area but keep the all the warps and that 1 tile with the entrance/stairs so that I later can see which rooms I can steal a warp from. Smiley

Well I like it Smiley Just one question, is this going to be like the fairies game? Or have you just disabled that and made a new town? either way its awesome. Just one thing, the tiles under the left goron statue looks a little of, maybe change them to get a more Zelda oracle feel? Smiley just a tip

Well I need help regarding the warps. You see I've made a warp to enter a house, but then I wanted another entrance in the same overworld "room"( or screen or whatever) and I "moved" the warp I'd made to antoher overworld screen. Then I wanted that same warp back cuz I decided not to have 2 entrances, but now the warp isn't there Sad neither in the screen I made it in or the screen I moved it to. It is possible that i missspelled the screen I moved it to, but then, is there a way I could find it? I know its easy to make a new warp, but my concern is that when I'm almost done with the overwold there will be no warps left, or that there are warp in screens which I dont know about... Is there a way to keep track of all the warps i ZOLE? or anything else that might help you organize the warps? If not then I suggest it'd be done, if possible of course Smiley
