How exactly do you use the new sign feature? I've tried placing a sign on my map and changed the Text number but the sign still says "Eternal Spirit..."

Take a sign from an existing map, change the map to yours, and click where you want it.

I'm still not getting the sign thing to work. I understand chest-swapping but I can't get sign-swapping to work. Could I ask for a tutorial with screenshots please?

Did you set the on-screen co-ordinates?

Yes. But when I click to place the sign , it doesn't show up on my map after I close the Sign Editor dialog box.

You have to use the actual sign tile in the tileset, and it has to be placed exactly where you put the sign in the sign editor.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. The index wasn't right.

Now...changing what the sign says might take me awhile.
