I don't know. Right now my priority is making a Minish Cap level editor.

Eh don't know if this is a bug or an emulator issue but after I got the second key in the mountain cave then saved the game crashed and vba 1.72 gave the following error message "Unknown opcode fc at 8004"


I believe in the read me file those issues are explained. Back a couple ZOLE and ZOSE updates ago, the assembly patches would cause the game to randomly crash and the beta for OoN was released before they were fixed. Use save states.

You need an interaction. There's actually a command in ZOSE called "maketorcheslightable" that you can use Tongue

I like it! Although, I would love it if you changed the tileset - either the color or the actual look of the floor and walls. It reminds me too much of level 5 Tongue

Also, there's a dungeon minimap editor in ZOLE, which allows you to control how the tiles look in the minimap (like where chests are, where the boss is, and what rooms connect to what).

Hi. I am new here in the Zelda Hacking scene. First of all thanks for this awesome tool. Second I have a question. How can I use the Rocs Feather in a chest without freezing the game? So I used chest ID 8B00 for the Rocs Feather and I used ZOCF to fix that freezing problem. But it still freezes the game and I saw in previews that it works. So am I way too dumb for this or is it impossible now?  Sad

You have to open the chest editor and make sure the YX is the value of where the chest is at.

I don't mean to make anyone upset, but I don't think this will get finished. ZOLE 5's code is slick, clean, fast, efficient, and flexible, but it's just too hard to make plugins communicate with each other. I'm thinking of sorta taking the idea of ZOLE 5 but making it like ZOLE 4, and titling it Zelda Oracles Suite where everything is still built into one program, including Live and what-not.

You have to use what are called Static Objects. ZOLE currently does not support editing static objects for Seasons - only Ages.

I'm not sure. For a while, it's going to be barer than ZOLE 4, and I haven't gotten much work done recently because I've been having computer problems. I should be able to resume work soon, but the past few days have been quite painful and I wasn't able to work.

You're approaching it the wrong way. You want to debug - as in set some break points. There are things called "access breakpoints", which will break on an instruction if the specified memory address is written to or read from. So, you'd enter CC39 as a value and just enter a dungeon, and follow the procedure.

Use BGB for debugging and the "gbcpuman.pdf" file for a list of how instructions work. The debug window is really simple - it just takes some getting used to.
