I think it'd be awesome if we could be able to talk about ZOLE and ask for/get help in real time. Honestly I'd write a wall of text about why it's a cool idea and such but really if you can't tell the benefits just from hearing the idea it probably won't happen anyway.

Actually, this is a great idea. I thought about it, but where I stumped is what IRC server I should use. I'm not a big IRC owner guy (Although I'm active in IRC channels almost 24/7), so I don't know how to set up channel servers, etc...

1. connect to irc.caffie.net
2. /join #channel you want to register
3. /cs register <channel> <password> <description>
voila new channel for ZOLE

I suggest caffie.net because a lot of people here use it already and about half or more of your current userbase comes from a site whose owner owns caffie.net too.

You can do the same thing on freenode or something if you want though.

EDIT: well okay not half but there are like five of us

When a server goes down every once in awhile, most people don't think a thought about it because they usually rejoin automatically.
This IRC server just seems rather unreliable, it's constantly going down. This is just my interpretation based on this.

If I could make a suggestion for a good, and friendly IRC server, it'd be irc.sixlabrats.com/6667.
They're a medium sized community and the home of PureZC, a Zelda game development community.

The benefits to switching (which would be as easy as just making a new channel over there and calling it home) would be:
1. Stable IRC server with good IRC operators.
2. A friendly set of Zelda fan game developers.
