I'm not sure about the floor changing, but for dungeon names just use ZOTE. Be sure you keep the original length in mind and try to save space. As for signs, I have no idea. I never got around to finding them.

Most likely yes.
453  Oracles Hacking / Help / Re: Transfering Tiles on: August 06, 2010, 12:24:53 AM
Alright... I managed to snag the Shop warp from Lynna City and I made it work right. What's funny is that I'm using the warp from the secret entrance to the shop instead of the regular one. I'll have to sort that out later so I don't get into a shop out of nowhere.

EDIT: Can you transfer a warp from the Past to the Present?
Nope.

Well because I lost interest in ZOLE, I stopped posting and because I stopped posting and improving development, other people left and ZOLE died. Right now I'm working on an RSPS that will get me paid $100 so until then, ZOLE is on halt and inactivity will probably continue.

Probably another ASM code I forgot about. The dungeon loading code is at 3949 if you want to look at it before I have the time.

Again, you can use Virtual PC to run the Mac program. Also, DOS Box has an option to increase the max speed. Try that.

Alright.

Broken as in? Like what exactly is wrong with them?
459  Oracles Hacking / Discussion / Seasons Hacking... And Important News on: July 08, 2010, 09:11:49 AM
Well, in my undergoing project with adding Seasons compatibility to ZOLE 4 I guess most of the maps have area changes and only some maps are different. This means more assembly is required to add customization. But truthfully, Ages is much better for hacking.

Soooo I've come to a decision. ZOLE 4 is being dropped. I might fix some bugs in it like the newly discovered side room warps not working, but ZOLE 4 1.09 will never come, and neither will Seasons compatibility. But instead, I've decided to start something... fresh. Instead of ZOLE just editing raw values, I want to make it so everything is easy... Instead of having to know that the unknown is to be 93 in a warp and the entrance type is 4 to make a dungeon-style entrance, I want it to be so you click "Add Warp -> Big room entrance" and decide where it goes and be visual.

The only problem with this is people like Jigglysaint might know of something else that ZOLE doesn't do, because it would be all automatic and that'd be pretty inconvenient. But, a count seems more people would like this instead of instead of typing everything in from experience.

I don't know when I'll start this project, but I'm going to keep the forums and everything posted in them. One of the main reasons I've decided this is I made ZOLE as I learned, and in result it became buggy and not coded the best way. So, whatever the next tool is for Oracles hacking, it will surely be better.

460  General GameBoy Hacking / General GameBoy Talk / Re: Tool request: Warioland 3 level and overworld editor on: July 07, 2010, 02:14:34 AM
So I took a look at the games. A lot of the data is uncompressed, like tileset graphics and formation data, but I never came across level data. The only compression it uses is a form of RLE that's really basic, and I found is used for sprite graphics. There's also two types of objects; one is the background/main tiles and the others seem to be persistent. By that I mean those blocks, and the tiles for it. There are two banks for graphics and special ones are in bank 1.

The game programmers seem like they made the game in ASM instead of using a higher-leveled language and a compiler. Honestly, it's poorly done and they didn't manage space that well (Like used banks at the very start for a lot of data). Though, it's nice because I learned a lot when debugging it. They did do some pretty weird stuff like store common procedures at FFXX instead of using RST addresses (Which a lot were empty).

Probably the big reason I couldn't find level data is because I never actually played the game before, so I don't know how level sizes work. The sprites and NPCs though, those work a little weird, like one byte acts as a sprite set in the memory but includes the AI for the enemies too... Oh well.
461  Oracles Hacking / Help / Re: I'm still a little confused on chest editing on: July 06, 2010, 10:44:07 PM
Because there isn't chest data associated with that map. There's a tutorial on adding chests in the tutorials section.
462  Oracles Hacking / Bug Reports / Re: Hang in game when shifting area music on: July 06, 2010, 07:15:55 AM
Very odd. The music has nothing to do with it. It's stored in bank 4. That's interaction data, so it must be an interaction bug.
463  Oracles Hacking / Help / Re: Changing Flutes on: July 04, 2010, 11:26:47 PM
Include an ASM hack. Edit the chest procedure and if the chest item is xx, set Cxxx to xx.
464  Oracles Hacking / Tools / Re: Zelda Oracles Text Editor on: July 04, 2010, 12:23:45 AM
It will not pick up any words you find in the dictionary. Search unique words, like Grave for the level 1 dungeon name.
