Alright, I decided to scratch what I have and start beta designing TLoZ: OoM. Here are some edits of the yet-unrenamed Yoll Graveyard. What say you?
P.S. The bridge in one photo was just so I could get to the rest of the area. In the final game, you won't be able to get here until you get the Flippers.

Other / General Discussion / TLoZ: Wind Waker Editing Notes?
|

Hello there! Well, I've been thinking about making a hack of Wind Waker. There's no editing program for it in existince for now, so I'm using a hex editor for it. Does anybody happen to know where I can find some notes on what matches up to what? If you do, please tell me!

Hey, is it possible to divide the map up more? Like, giving the beach south of Lynna City a sperate name than the field or ocean?

You need to make sure that the destination map to go back up the stairs is the same as the map you came in from. If the map you want to get back to is in a different time, you'll have to mess with some settings in the Warp editor. (like Index, Dest. Group).
You should try simply putting the map you want to get back to as the destination and the location of the stairway as the YX coorrdinates (Marked as 'Position' I believe) first, though.
As for the Index, You can mess with it and one of the effects I've gotten is getting the way you enter a room to be different (Time portal, normal entrance).

Well, for number one, you should go and find the name in the text editor. then you can change it. I'm not sure how you would make a second floor...
The first thing you should do is take the warps from the first llevel of the dungeon you want to take a floor from and find a way to put them in your target dungeon. then you would have to make stairs in every room you want to go up in, and finally you'd have to coordinate the warps so that they all go to the level one rooms that you want them to. I would assume that being in the past doesn't affect the dungeon's warps since they're all on different maps.
As for signs... I have that question, too.

I want to reconfigure some warps in the Black Tower, but any connections I make end up sending me to the room just below the top of the tower. That room (thanks to me)has no warp. Is there anything I can do solve this problem?
