286  Oracles Hacking / ZOLE / Re: ZOLE 4 Version 1.16 Released! on: February 07, 2011, 01:54:34 AM
Version 1.16. Update log from ReadMe:

Fixed an "Unmapped" bug with Ages and removed hardcoded dungeon indexes for static objects. They now load from the area header properly. Also added the following to Seasons support: Tilesets all load properly, different seasons work, full map viewing, no more "pause" or double-loading of maps, and music loading. Also added some separate GUI stuff between the two.

In real world:
I firstly played oracle of ages in december 2001
And then i played oracle of seasons in April 2003
The years between, i played other videogames.

Blue is more right than red.
Because red = wrong.
And the green + yellow zelda game was not released.
Q) What do they contain?
A) The creator boss behind the official zelda game
Stop posting unrelated content. If you continue to do so I will delete them, and will do more if it continues further.

Wait im confused. So you did this in ZOLE rather then creating a new editor?
Yes.

I've worked on it some more, and apart from fixing a problem with the Ages "Unmapped" areas, I've added a few things for Seasons.

1. Maps no longer than a little bit of noticeable time to load as they did before.
2. Tileset loading via area works perfectly now.
3. The dungeon map indexes load now.

Making good progress.

Good news - I made some progress today. All I did in terms of ZSLE was re-create ZOLE's design in a new project and get ROM opening done. I edited ZOLE a little bit more to support loading dungeons, finally. It may or may not have broken Ages dungeon loading though Cheesy

Hopefully I can integrate full map viewing tomorrow within ZSLE and then work on editing. We'll see!
289  Oracles Hacking / ZOLE / ZOLE As We Know It on: February 05, 2011, 10:25:59 PM
Well, I made this topic to announce something I'd say is pretty important. ZOLE, along with ZOSE, ZOCF, and ZOTE, are all going to be renamed to "ZAxx", meaning Zelda Ages XX. Why is this? Because Seasons is too different and ZOLE has become too big to integrate a whole other game into it.

I don't know when ZOLE will get renamed, although I'm thinking sometime after ZSLE is released. ZSLE (Zelda Seasons Level Editor) will probably get created and worked on soon, and people will be left with Ages for now. None of the tools I've released will work for Seasons, ever. However, an equivalent will be released for Seasons (ZSCF, ZSTE, etc).

Hopefully you all continue to support me. I may bring back My Blog and you all can follow it if you choose, or be in the IRC as I will discuss my findings and post screenshots there (Look in the Announcements section for IRC information).

Thanks for the support everyone, and happy hacking! Smiley

Activation e-mails have always been a pain, but I was forced to add them due to lots of spam in the past. If your e-mail doesn't send, PM me on YouTube at www.youtube.com/linscape99. Be sure to include your username.

I get asked a lot questions and a lot of bugs get reported. Some the issues are bugs in ZOxE, but most of them are user-error. Make sure you test what you're doing efficiently and your values are all right.

293  Oracles Hacking / Progress / Re: Tileset Editor on: January 27, 2011, 02:08:43 PM
So does it work or not? If not, then there's nothing I can do about it and you're going to have to fix it yourself.
294  Oracles Hacking / ZOLE / Re: ZOLE 4 Version 1.15 Released! on: January 24, 2011, 02:25:32 AM
Version 1.15. Update log from ReadMe:

Added a Launch menu capable of launching all the other ZOxx programs. Also fixed some assembly stuff to make crashes and map load errors less likely. Finally, fixed a chest loading bug with an unknown cause from the 30 chests patch.

Not from the log, but I also made it so ZOLE ignores any DPI settings to prevent things from messing up.
295  Oracles Hacking / Bug Reports / Re: Missing hotkey on: January 23, 2011, 07:57:08 PM
I noticed other shortcut keys don't work as well. I don't know why. Also, you can just click the copy button next to the Save button instead of going to the Edit menu..
296  The Site / Announcements / Web Hosting Purchased on: January 23, 2011, 05:54:49 AM
I purchased one month of web-hosting. You shouldn't see any ads until it runs out. I should be able to purchase more in the future, but I just want to make sure nobody sees any ads.
297  Oracles Hacking / Progress / Re: Tileset Editor on: January 23, 2011, 12:32:05 AM
That sucks. I think I do know how to disable it though. I can set the AutoScapeProperty to false, and apparently that ignore's all DPI settings and draws with 96, which is 1:1 (DPI means dots per inch). So starting ZOLE 4 version 1.14.7, or 1.15, you shouldn't see scaling issues at all.
298  Oracles Hacking / Progress / Re: Tileset Editor on: January 23, 2011, 12:18:31 AM
Oh. That's unfortunate. But yea, the cause is something on your computer is causing the pictureboxes to be bigger, and everything in the tileset editor (except the tile your editing) gets scaled to the picturebox's size, thus causing problems. Sorry that happens. I'll add an option in a future version of ZOLE to disable stretching.
299  Oracles Hacking / Progress / Re: Tileset Editor on: January 22, 2011, 11:09:45 PM
I think I'm using 120 dpi currently.
That's probably your problem. Try switching it to 96 DPI as I stated above, and decrease the font size (All temporarily) and see if this fixes the problem.
300  Oracles Hacking / Progress / Re: Tileset Editor on: January 22, 2011, 10:30:06 PM
Okay I MIGHT know the problem... On your desktop, right click and click Properties > Settings > Advanced > General > Make sure the DPI Setting is normal size. From the looks of it, you had the same alignment problems with ZOLE in the first place.

But I think what's really happening is the picture box containing the tileset is not the right size - nor are any of the other pictureboxes. The items are being creates too big and that's what's throwing the alignments off. I just can't tell you what's causing it or how to fix it... Very odd... I've never had it happen to me before.
